1. Who processes your data

The data controller is Dalibor Gelo, Komarna 84, 20356 Klek, Croatia, email: apartmani.gelo@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

  • When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number, dates of stay, number of adults and children and the children's ages, details of any pet, and your message.
  • When you pay the deposit: the proof of payment you upload, which may contain details of your bank account.
  • On arrival: details from the ID cards or passports of all guests, which we are legally required to register with the national tourist registration system (eVisitor).

3. Why we process it

We process your data to handle your enquiry and carry out your booking, to comply with our legal obligations (guest registration, accounting and tax regulations) and to protect our website against misuse.

4. How long we keep it

Proofs of payment are deleted automatically after your departure. We keep booking data for as long as necessary to carry out the booking, or as long as required by accounting and tax regulations. Unconfirmed enquiries are deleted after 3 months.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Access is limited to the service providers we need to run the website: our hosting provider (Bluehost, servers in the USA), our content delivery provider (Cloudflare) and our email provider (Google). Transfers of data outside the European Union are subject to the safeguards set out in the General Data Protection Regulation. Details from identity documents are registered in the eVisitor system, as required by law. Booking.com and Airbnb receive only availability information from us, without any of your personal data.

6. Cookies

Our website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. The map on the Contact page uses OpenStreetMap, which does not set cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object. You can send your request to apartmani.gelo@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
